A Detailed Look at my Fall Favorites! 🧡

While you might know me for styling fabulous outfits in my closet on social media, by trade I’m a fashion designer. Over the past 30 years, I’ve worked with groups producing denim pieces, wedding dressings, and companies holding the hottest licenses (remember Miss Frizzle and the magic school bus?). The work I’m most proud of though are the lines and collections I’ve created myself, from club kid clothing to luxury jewelry and now to crossbody bags like the sling bag and more. Speaking of which, my latest collection of sling bags and fall styles for women are now available! To celebrate, I thought I’d share some behind the scenes comments on my Fall Favorites collection!

My design process almost always starts with carefully examining styles I have loved for years. I’m inspired by details and pieces that remain functional and fabulous across decades. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

The versatility of vegan leather, the delicious drape of an unlined coat and my practical sling bags all defy trends and are fashions that I have leaned into for decades. The Fall Favorites Collection showcases these refined details in a scrumptious set of seasonal colors that are longtime staples in my closet.

If you read last month’s newsletter, you’ll know that liquid leather is in this fall, baby! Plus I personally love a little (okay, a lotta) leather, so you might notice that faux leather styles for women are a mainstay of this collection. Not to get ahead of myself, but I recommend layering the sling bag with the new Everyday Everywhere dress for some punk rock goddess goodness. Onwards!

More Sling Bag Colors… and styles?

First thing’s first… The all-time favorite Sling Bag 2.0 is available in delicious new colors: sleek Black, Chocolate Brown, and Sienna Orange! 

If you haven’t had the pleasure of modeling a sling bag yet – they’re the perfect on-the-go vegan leather bags. They come with a removable matching wristlet and you can adjust the bag’s length by swapping between the included strap options!

The Sling Bag in Black is beyond chic with its super smooth texture and super chic blackout hardware. 

My ever-enduring love affair with brown continues with the Chocolate Brown Sling Bag… The color is so rich, it makes my mouth water. Orange is the epitome of autumn, and a favorite of mine amongst the​ trending fall colors in fashion. Sophisticated Sienna Orange will be your ‘go to’ for a pop of punch. It will work with every color you have in your fall wardrobe! 

And did I mention we’re now slinging it mini style? That’s right, the Sling Bag’s super chic little sister, the Mini Sling Bag, has arrived! Its strong woven cotton strap is fully adjustable, so you may wear it as you please.

The Indispensable Car Coat:

The Indispensable Car Coat is just that! Unlined with a softly curved shawl collar, this versatile piece gives both “favorite cardigan” and “comfortable car coat” simultaneously. These wool blend coats are available in Ruby Red and Hyper Yellow – cheery pops of color that’ll warm you and your spirits on chilly days. It’s structured yet slouchy and not too heavy, which makes it perfect for the season of layers and layers.

The Everywhere Everyday Dress:

The Everywhere Everyday Dress style is back in a new fabric and in new colors, Black and Chocolate Brown, and it’s as fabulous as ever. In fact, in a sea of vegan leather dresses for women, this will be one of the most versatile out there. Wear it to dinner with a pair or heels or into a moshpit paired with your favorite construction boots. Okay, it’s probably far too elegant for moshing functions, but the point is, you’ll have styling options aplenty.
