Mother’s Day Thoughts 🤍

The best, most complicated, and most beautiful job

Being a mom is a selfless task, a gift of endless love, and a responsibility beyond measure. My mother did it with grace and laughter. Even through the hardest times she has always leaned to the light. These days, I live far away from my mother and my kids have left the nest. It’s tough to be apart, but it’s a joy to see my children growing into their own lives. In honor of Mother’s Day, I thought I would share a note from my daughter, Ivy, that makes me so proud. Ivy has not had an easy path growing into who she was always meant to be, but she’s brave, confident in herself, and flourishing.

A Mother’s Day Message to My Mom

This is our second Mother's Day with me as your daughter, and I am immensely grateful for that. I will never be able to thank you enough for walking this path with me. For being a constant light in my life. For learning with me and loving me through everything.

It has not been an easy year — we've faced more than our fair share of challenges and obstacles. But you have been here for all of it, supporting me, encouraging me, and boosting my spirits when I felt drained. Your presence has been my anchor through the turbulence.

Thank you for being my muse and support system. Your unconditional love, wisdom, and unwavering belief in me have inspired me to keep going and to become the best version of myself. I don't know what I would do without your guidance and strength. You are the ultimate role model of resilience, grace, and kindness. I love you very much!

Your daughter,

My writer daughter! She’s amazing. I am so thankful for both of my children and I’m so proud of the wonderful adults they’re becoming. I’ll happily take a moment to pat myself on the back!

Happy Mother’s Day to the woman that gave me everything I am today and more, and to all the moms who pass down their nuggets of wisdom and give a hug along the way. Thank you, Mom, for showing me how to do it.

And, Moms, don’t forget to take pride in yourself! Motherhood is not always an easy job, but it can be so rewarding.

Love & Light,
